My name is April and my husband is Erik. I wanted to let you know more about us. I was working full time and not feeling fulfilled. Something was missing in my job, I wasn't able to be the mother I wanted to be. One day I decided enough is enough and wanted to start a new adventure. Erik had always brought up food trucks, so I started researching and looking into them. We then finally purchased a beautiful trailer out of Texas! We proceeded to build a Commerical kitchen in our home and acquired a Maine Liquor license so we could also provide a mobile bar service. We also love to cater! Any events with family we always have at our home and our spread is always well prepared and delicious. We take pride in the food we make and anything that comes out of our kitchen we make with love. We are fortunate enough to have wonderful children that inspire us everyday in this journey!
I named our business after my grandma, Sylvia Marocchini. She was born on January 26, 1938 in Mildenhall, England. She met my grandfather while he was stationed at the Mildenhall Base in the UK. He drew her attention with his Harley Davidson. Shortly after meeting, they married on December 31, 1955, and went on to have their first son. They then came over to America on a large boat. She loves to tell me the story of coming over and how horrible the boat rocked! They resided in Enfield, Connecticut and still live there today. They added 5 more children to their family, one of which is my mother. Unfortunately, my grandfather has passed after 68 years of marriage.
My grandmother is funny, loving and all of us grandchildren flock to her. She taught us all to play the card game rummy which we can take anyone down at! My grandfather and grandmother had an RV they would travel in, quite frequently. They used to love to load up our parents and us grandchildren into the RV and bring us places to explore. My grandfather loved teaching us the history while my grandmother would laugh and joke with us. Living in Maine, my family would take road trips often to Connecticut as a child to visit my grandparents and family. I do this now with my children and it's still just as exciting! My grandmother is now into her 70's and still fun, loving and charismatic. We recently went to my cousin's wedding, and she was up dancing on the dance floor with all of us! Shes an inspiration to us all and I hope to be a wonderful grandmother like her one day!
